Directional Plans

So the pictures below represent the direction I am moving toward. I am in the midst of putting together my sample line which will consist of hopefully around 30 pieces, if I can pull it off. But I am putting together each piece using a mix of graphics interesting new fabric treatments and new creations. Once I finish putting enough pieces together I am going to create a lookbook. Once the lookbook is completed I will move toward the stores and see what kind of orders I can get. Once the sample line is finished I am going to try and have more shows in order to get more press to get an investor! which would be fantastic.

This is the direction I am moving toward.

KIMBO FASHION SHOW

So the show has been rescheduled for tomorrow 2/17 same time and same place. I am glad that it was pushed back because it gave me a chance to finish 4 more pieces that I was working on. In this particular show tomorrow I am not only going to be showing T-shirts and sneakers, like I usually do. But I am going to be showing new tops and dresses that fuse elegant/edgy design with new interesting graphics and textures. This is the direction I hope to move further in. I am putting together more and more looks to hold a larger show as the weather gets a little warmer. Once I put together a few more pieces I am going to create a lookbook and see what I can do with this collection. They are unique pieces, it should be a really interesting progression. The show will move from the guys T-shirts and sneakers and hats and transition into sexy women in new fashion forward designs. If you can come tomorrow and check it out:

Tomorrow, there will be a Fashion show at the HK Lounge at 10 pm. This is going to be a collaboration between my line and two other lines who are: "Messieurs" which is a high end men's polo line, and also the famous "MEMBERS ONLY" jackets. Tomorrow there will be an open bar from 9-10 and then the event itself will begin at 10pm with a party following it starting at 11pm.

CHANGES

So yesterday I quit my job at Anne Bowen, for personal reasons and mental health reasons. It was something I had been thinking about doing for a while now. But now I am free. I no longer have a cell phone, which will hopefully change today, but I feel for the first time in a year free to explore my own creativity. Whats on the horizon for me now? Well, I have school starting in Feb, which I am very excited about along with that. I am still working on sneakers for celebrities like Talib Kweli, Mos Def and Tech N9ne. These are for Talib Kweli:













What else do I have up my sleeve? Well this is the first time in a year that I feel like I can do what I want to do on my terms. I am planning on creating brand new t-shirts and creating new pieces and putting on a few shows this coming year. I am going to put together shows at different clubs throughout the city. time to make moves

It's time for a change. I am sitting at work, and I just got into FIT. 3rd times a charm I guess. I want to take charge and continue my own business ventures. I want to start making moves on exploring my business while going to school at night. Sounds good to me. For my own sanity, I think I need to get out of my current job to do my own thing. I feel like I always say this, but I need to, if I do not then I think I will keel over from exhaustion and frustration. Let's make some moves
